How we protect your account and your students' data.
This page is maintained by the TeachMate team to answer common security and privacy questions about TeachMate. It describes the controls currently in place and reflects a shared responsibility: our cloud platform provides underlying security features, the TeachMate team configures the application, and account holders are responsible for keeping their own credentials safe. It is editable project content and is not an independent certification or audit.
Every account is protected by email and password sign-in. Access to the app requires an authenticated session, and administrative features are restricted to users with an admin role that is enforced on the server.
Your data is stored in our managed cloud backend and protected by row-level security policies, so teachers can only read and write the records that belong to them. Connections to the app are served over encrypted HTTPS.
We store the information you enter to run your classes — student details, lesson plans, assignments, reports, documents and finance records. This data is used only to provide the app's features to you and is not sold.
TeachMate runs on Lovable Cloud for database, authentication, storage and serverless functions. These platform capabilities support the security controls described on this page.
Records remain available while your account is active. If you would like data corrected or deleted, contact us and we will action your request.
